Supanova Pop Culture Expo is where the adoring public comes face to face with Supa-Star celebrities and the creative talent that inspire their imaginary worlds under one big roof. We took two camera's, filmed all day and met a bunch of stars including Cliff Simon, Rainbow Francks, Jim Kelly, Chandler Riggs, Peter Facinelli, Oliver & James Phelps, Edward J. Olmos, Morena Baccarin, Wil Wheaton and Summer Glau. This epic day of games and cosplay has been edited down to one short awesome vid for your viewing pleasure. Brought to you by the WorkJoker team this year: Andre', Gabriel (Mr.Martini), Bryce and Lang. This is the first ever Gold Coast Supanova. Footage of the stars was hard to obtain this year, as security were Nazis, so apologies for the quality. =P Diddly. That is all. |

A montage I made for my RP, using Summer Glau and Jay Baruchel as River and Reid respectively. Their ship name is Rever. Backstory: River's broken. She's a werewolf and was experimented on by doctors and the government. The procedures were incredibly painful, and she spent six years imprisoned there. However a kindly doctor, who was secretly a faerie, helped her escape. But when they returned to her home, her parents had been killed along with the rest of the village by vampires. She saw her parents bodies and completely freaked, going crazy. The doctor gave her a forgetful potion that made her forget all her years as a lab rat. He took her to Sunnybrooke then, where he knew she'd be safe as it was a haven for supernatural creatures. Years later she met Reid. He was gawky and awkward, but kindhearted and sweet. They instantly took a liking to each other, bonding over their shared awkwardness. Gradually their feelings grew into something more. River is plagued by nightmares of her past. She's afraid that she is going to shatter and break completely, hurting everyone she loves. But despite this, Reid refuses to leave her side. He's promised to be with her through it all, even as she descends into madness. The song is Not Alone by Red. The clips were taken from Firefly, I am Reed Fish, The Sorcerer's Apprentice, and The Trotsky. I own nothing. This is purely for entertainment purposes. |

In 2005, Joss Whedon was able to resurrect his abruptly canceled television series "Firefly" as a feature film. The original cast reprise their roles in a story that has the crew searching for answers involving the Alliance's interest in fugitive River Tam (Summer Glau) was experimented on by government scientists and may contain classified information in her damaged brain. The Alliance's efforts to eliminate River, her brother Simon and the Serenity crew are lead by an unnamed "operative" played by English actor Chiwetel Ejiofor. Nathan Fillion, Jewel Saite, Alan Tudyk, Adam Baldwin, Gina Torres, Ron Glass, Morena Baccarin and David Krumholtz round out the colorful cast of characters. |

Dino's review of The Avengers: www.youtube.com My over two-years old proclomation that Joss Whedon was the perfect choice to direct The Avengers: www.youtube.com "Firefly" was Joss' VERY short-lived "space western" about a crew of final frontier bandits flitting about the galaxy in the prusit of ill-gotten gains and maybe a little peaceful downtime every once in a while. It was canceled after only about ten episodes had aired, but was thankfully resurrected as a one-time feature film wrap-up entitled "Serenity". Nathan Fillion of "Castle" stars as Captain Malcolm Reynolds, a former resistance fighter. His crew includes his second-in-command, Zoe, played by Gina Torres. Zoe is married to the ship's pilot, Wash (Alan Tudyk). Rounding out the crew are the engineer Kaylie (Jewel Saite) and professional badass Jayne (Adam Baldwin). The main cast is completed by three characters who board the ship in the first episode as paying passengers; preacher Shepard Book (Ron Glass), doctor Simon Tam (Sean Maher) and his fugitive sister River (Summer Glau). |

Eliza Dushku starred and co-produced "Dollhouse" which was created by her old Buffy bud Joss Whedon. The two were discussing her experience as an actress, in becoming many different types of characters over her career, and came up with the idea for the show as a metaphor. Dushku's co-stars on the series, which ran for two seasons until 2010, included such Whedonverse alumni as Amy Acker, Summer Glau, Alan Tudyk, Felicia Day, Alexis Denisof and Fran Kranz of "The Cabin in the Woods". The major characters were played by Olivia Williams, Harry Lennix, Tahmoh Pinikett, Dichen Lachman, Enver Gjokaj and Miracle Laurie. |
